High-Risk Equipment at High Risk of Being Stolen

In your yard or your shed, do you have expensive equipment that, when you really think about it, could be easily stolen by an opportunistic thief or a planned breach of your premises?

Do you have items such as trailers, mowers, motorcycles, dirt bikes, generators, a boat or even wheelie-bins that could be at risk of theft? If your items or equipment are not held down securely, it may be very easy for a thief to easily take them.

An Unsecured Safe Can Be Easily Stolen

Safes, in general, are reinforced with steel and concrete, and very heavy or nearly impossible to lift. But if your safe is not anchored down securely, the most determined thief who has an eye on your valuables will attempt to work out a way to ‘carry it off’ — and they don’t care how much damage they do to your home or office in the process.

For example, many take-away food restaurants around the world have had their safes stolen by opportunistic thieves, most using ‘ram-raid’ type attacks.

Lock Your Valuables Up by Locking Them Down

A simple, cost-effective device you can use to lock down equipment is a floor anchor. You can secure your valuable items by locking them down to the floor or the wall with an immovable floor anchor.

Anchoring into a concrete slab, concrete wall, or the joist or stud of a wooden floor can effectively deter a would-be thief. If there are, for example, two motorcycles side by side and one is securely held down, which one do you think a potential thief would take?

The unsecured item is easy pickings — while the item secured to the floor does not make for an easy target.

Stop Unauthorised Use of Your Valuable Items

Floor anchors can also be used to prevent unauthorised use of your items. Valuable equipment cannot simply be ‘borrowed’ without permission if it is secured to the floor or wall by anchors — adding another layer of protection.

An Extra Level of Protection for Your Possessions

Floor anchors provide a maximum level of protection for larger, bulkier and more expensive items that are difficult to secure. Being extremely tamper-resistant, items locked down with anchors gain an additional layer of security.

Extra protection can be achieved simply by locking down valuable equipment inside your shed, garage or office using cost-effective floor anchors.
